Confident, proud, and heroic; These two are the sons of the universe’s greatest fighters; Goku and Ultraseven, and the first of the next generation of heroes, continuing the legacy of the Saiyans and the New Generation of Ultras. Only these two rose to the occasion against their most formidable foes, Cell and Ultraman Belial, but not without the training of a father’s friend that molded them into protectors of the earth and the universe, attaining legendary transformations along the way that tapped into their heritage. They are some of the most iconic humanoid alien warriors across their long-running Japanese franchises, honing martial arts and special beam attacks and being the pinnacle of heroism, peace, and justice. ...
Bang's Blogs: Dormammu vs Trigon
(Cabbage) (Yuix) (Gio) (Stationsearcher) (TheCardinalKing) “The danger is that Satan is dimming our light so slowly that darkness turns normal.” - Neal A. Maxwell Dormammu, the Dread. Trigon, the Terrible. Deep in the empty abyss of space, two of the cosmos’ darkest demonic kings rule their twisted dimensions with an iron fist, scheming with plots to lay waste to reality until all of creation is melted into a fiery pit. They will stop at nothing to tear down the dimensional barriers keeping them from unleashing hell onto the mortal plane. Will the Dark Dimension’s walls fall onto Dormammu, or is there no escape for the one they call Trigon? Know them, for all will be destroyed in this DEATH BATTLE! Before We Start… Both will be given their mainline comic appearances, Earth-616 for Dormammu and Pre/Post-Flashpoint for Trigon, and any temporary amps will be noted as such. Also, thank you guys for voting this blog for the Most Anticipated Blog of 2026. Background Dormammu “'Ti...
If you don't mind me asking, why was this match-up chosen specifically? Both seem like they have more obvious opponents.
ReplyDeleteHi, blog writer here.
DeleteThis was originally meant to be a solo blog for Adam Strange but I had heard of this matchup from a friend and it sounded pretty cool. Our whole project here was based on comics and since I was already doing their other relevant opponents on my blog, it felt most appropriate to cover both here. This matchup also turned out to be pretty debatable too which made it fun to write.
After reading both blogs, I figure:
DeleteAdam being comparable to Batman tactically, having better battlefield control, and having access to an on-demand Zeta-Beam that Star-Lord has no answer for, plus having better stats all around should give Adam the win despite Star-Lord’s edge in AP and mobility.
Fox’s speed, superior ship power-ups, and multiple revives should give him enough of an edge over Bucky to secure victory. While Bucky's got numbers, Jenny’s mind manipulation and magic, and Willy’s overall arsenal going for him, they are slower overall and lack a reliable way to shut down the Arwing’s advantages before Fox puts them down.
Well, this is a surprise, but certainly a welcome one. Great blog...
ReplyDelete(Tom King should be in disadvantages though)
Also, I've got two questions.
Delete1) I'm aware of the note that characters featured in the trailer will not necessarily be facing off against one another. Does that mean there'll be more blogs similar to this where a DC/Marvel character is facing off against a non-DC/Marvel character? Or does this mean more DC/Marvel characters that weren't shown are in store?
2) For Mogo vs Ego, will there be another cosmology revision for either verse?
Tom King was too obvious but it would be a disadvantage yes
DeleteAlso for our project, we will mainly be focusing on a mix of solo blogs alongside matchup blogs if it takes to our liking. We won't really go outside the realm of DC or Marvel unless it's a comic character that we think could be interesting to look at. There are a bunch of characters that we have yet to announce so you will just have to see. No comment on Ego vs Mogo.
Ego vs Mogo will not have another cosmology revision.
